If you could hear my thoughts…

Dear Girls,

I’m struggling tonight— not because I doubt my love for you. I’m struggling because the hardest thing I’ve ever done is learning how to step back and give you space, trusting that love doesn’t disappear just because it’s quiet.

All my life, when I loved someone, I leaned in. I reached out more, tried harder, showed up louder. And somehow, the more I did, the further away people went. So I’m trying something different now—not because I want distance from you, but because I love you enough to respect where you are.

If giving you space is the one thing I haven’t tried… then maybe it’s the one thing that allows healing instead of pressure. Maybe it’s the way back instead of another push away.

Please know this: my love hasn’t changed. I’m still here. I’m just holding it more gently now—trusting that what’s real will find its way home.

Love always,

Mom
